A Day in Florence

Looking for the perfect way to spend a day in Florence? The city can be beautiful yet overwhelming, so here's a sweet and simple itinerary of my favorite spots! Each spot is located within a 2–10 minute walk from each other and full of other places to stop and look at on the way.

SHOP

Begin your day with some pastries and light shopping in the Sant'ambrogio neighborhood. Here, you'll feel like a true Florentine while browsing through the many shops and markets. For breakfast, you can stop at Il Fiorno De Ciompi, an authentic Italian bakery filled with delicious pastries and coffees.

Once you're fueled up, you can head directly next door to my shop, Sara Amrhein Jewelry. If you're searching for a special gift or just looking to treat yourself to something fun and original, this is the place for you. My shop offers a plethora of floral statement jewelry that combines romance and adventure while bringing out your ultra-feminine side. I handcraft each piece using the highest quality materials available, making it the perfect souvenir. (Image credit: @saraamrhein on Instagram)

EAT

After you've done a bit of shopping, head around the block to Il Pizzaiuolo for lunch. This isn't your average tourist trap. Il Pizzaiuolo is a favorite amongst both visitors and locals. Enjoy a delicious lunch with a cozy ambiance, great service, and reasonable prices. Some of their most popular dishes include the classic Italian fried pizza and a rich cheesecake. You will leave feeling stuffed and ready to keep on exploring.

DRINK

In true Italian fashion, the afternoon is not complete without an aperitif. Enjoy a refreshing Aperol spritz or a negroni at the Salsamenteria de' Ciompi before heading to dinner. If you aren't already stuffed from lunch, enjoy some of their fritti (fried finger food). This restaurant is the perfect spot to sip on a drink and relax before heading to your last destination of the day. (Image credit: @salsamenteriadeciompo on Instagram)

VISIT

End your day at the Ponte Vecchio, an iconic Florence landmark decorated with beautiful architecture, artisan shops, and great views. Here, you can watch the sunset from a riverfront cafe or take a stroll across the bridge.
